Our mentorship program offers a place where the youth can feel safe, understood and respected. At Legacy our mission is to combat the "root problem" with reentry which we feel starts with the next generation. Led by our youth director Oscar and mentor Jonathan, mentorship provides life skills, job preparation, powerful coaching and peer-to-peer mentoring. Aside from the interesting conversations and limitless knowledge shared, this group is special due in part to Oscar. After serving 30 years in prison and receiving clemency from an Illinois Governor, he has become a father figure to many young people in our local community.
Offering mentorship in a realistic, impactful and unique delivery, our program explores so much more than the surface. Every Tuesday at Legacy ages 13 and up from 5PM-6PM are welcome.
