L.A.M.P. Youth Arts & Media Program
L.A.M.P. (Legacy Arts & Media Program) is a creative mentorship program for justice-impacted youth ages 13–24 in Waukegan and Lake County, Illinois. It gives young people space to create, learn from mentors, and build skills that can support their education and future careers.
Creative pathways include photography and videography, music and audio production, visual arts and design, film and storytelling, and creative entrepreneurship.
Through hands-on projects, workshops, masterclasses, and career exposure, participants develop creative skills, confidence, leadership, and practical life skills. L.A.M.P. connects young people with supportive mentors and a community that encourages their ideas and growth, while helping them see pathways to college and careers.
The program has engaged more than 60 young people. Contact Legacy Reentry Foundation to learn about participation, mentoring, or ways to support L.A.M.P.
